Everyone deserves the freedom to move with independence, dignity, and confidence.
At the same time, caregivers should be able to assist their loved ones or patients without fear of injury.
With an aging population and longer post-surgery recovery times, the demand for modern mobility aids is only expected to grow.
People with stability challenges and the caregivers who support them need better solutions that enable safe, secure and confident mobility. We knew there had to be a solution, so we invented it and are bringing it to the market.
Our Why
There has to be a better way for someone with stability challenges to access a vehicle.
This is what our founder, Meera, thought when she saw her grandmother get injured exiting our family car. She needed help entering and exiting a vehicle. Additionally, the trauma led to a fear of travel and thus a loss of independence.
Our co-founder, Praveena's struggle is real too. After a major invasive surgery, she spent months using a walker and wheelchair while relearning how to walk. Getting into a car became a daunting task, and she had to rely on a caregiver to physically lift and assist her from the wheelchair or walker into and out of the vehicle for appointments and other essential trips.
Through sharing our stories, we learned we weren’t alone.
Many seniors, individuals with disabilities, and medical outpatients face the same challenge, and there aren't many solutions addressing it.
So we created a solution with Cargility.
