Everyone deserves the freedom to move with independence, dignity, and confidence.
At the same time, caregivers should be able to assist their loved ones or patients without fear of injury.
With an aging population and longer post-surgery recovery times, the demand for modern mobility aids is only expected to grow.
The lack of effective solutions for individuals with stability challenges and for those who care for them is no longer acceptable. We knew there had to be a solution, so we invented it and are bringing it to the market.
Our Why
There has to be a better way for someone with stability challenges to access a vehicle.
This is what our founder, Meera, thought when she saw her grandmother get injured exiting our family car. She needed help entering and exiting a vehicle. Additionally, the trauma led to a fear of travel and thus a loss of independence.
Our co-founder, Praveena's struggle is real too. After an invasive, serious surgery, she was in a walker and wheelchair for months, learning to re-walk again. Getting into a car became daunting, and she relied on my caregiver constantly to physically move me in my wheelchair or walker in & out of the vehicle for appointments or to get to where she needed to go.
Through sharing our stories, we learned we weren’t alone.
Many seniors, individuals with disabilities, and medical outpatients face the same challenge, and there aren't many solutions addressing it. So we created a solution with Cargility.
