Offering stability to aging adults, outpatients, and anyone challenged by instability, Cargility is committed to creating forward-thinking ways to promote greater independence. Our mobility aid also supports caregivers assisting individuals during the transfer process from a vehicle.
More than a stability device, Cargility offers a new and innovative solution that pushes the boundaries of how we can reduce the reliance on others while improving users’ mobility.
It’s coming to a car near you soon! We’re currently in product development and preparing to bring Cargility to market.
There has to be a better way for someone with stability challenges to access a vehicle.
This is what our founder, Meera, thought when she saw her grandmother get injured exiting our family car. She needed help entering and exiting a vehicle. Additionally, the trauma led to a fear of travel and thus a loss of independence.
Our co-founder, Praveena's struggle is real too. After a major invasive surgery, she spent months using a walker and wheelchair while relearning how to walk. Getting into a car became a daunting task, and she had to rely on a caregiver to physically lift and assist her from the wheelchair or walker into and out of the vehicle for appointments and other essential trips.
Through sharing our stories, we learned we weren’t alone.
Many seniors, individuals with disabilities, and medical outpatients face the same challenge, and there aren't many solutions addressing it.
So we created a solution with Cargility.
Our Inspiration
Everyone deserves the freedom to move with independence, dignity, and confidence.
At the same time, caregivers should be able to assist their loved ones or patients without fear of injury.
With an aging population and longer post-surgery recovery times, the demand for modern mobility aids is only expected to grow.
The lack of effective solutions for individuals with stability challenges and for those who care for them is no longer acceptable. We knew there had to be a solution, so we invented it and are bringing it to the market.
